The Copperhead Safety Glock FRD Kit brings active reset function to the Glock, Gen 1 through Gen 5, every model. You get 316 stainless conversion parts, a carbon fiber nylon flat trigger shoe, and Ghost Performance internals in one box. Add a 20 lb or heavier recoil spring and you have the whole build.
What’s in the Box
- Flat Trigger Shoe — carbon fiber nylon, with a flat face that puts your finger in the same place on every press
- Glock FRD Trip — 316 stainless steel, the part that does the reset work
- Ghost Performance 3.5 lb Disconnector — Ghost has built Glock internals for decades, and we tuned the trip around this disconnector
- Ghost Performance Spring Kit — the matched spring set that runs with the disconnector above
Product Features
- 316 Stainless Steel FRD Conversion Parts — the parts that take the wear are 316 stainless, so sweat and daily holster carry will not pit them
- Carbon Fiber Nylon Trigger Shoe — stiff enough to hold its shape, with enough give that it will not crack on you after a long range day
- Ghost Performance Internals Included — the 3.5 lb disconnector and spring kit are part of the design, and we built the trip to work with them
- Gen 1–5 Compatibility — one kit covers standard Glock models across all five generations, so you never have to match a SKU to your frame
- Slide Lock Retained — the standard, non-ambidextrous version leaves your factory slide lock working the way it came from the box
- PDW-Ready Configuration — drop the pistol into a Recover Tactical chassis and you have a compact mock-PDW
- Full Warranty Support — send us a defective part and we replace it at no charge, same as everything else we sell
Installation
Trigger Bar Removal — pull the trigger bar out of the frame the same way you would for any Glock trigger job.
Trigger Pin — punch out the primary trigger pin, lift the factory shoe off the bar, and put the included flat shoe on in its place.
Slide Lock — the standard, non-ambi kit runs with your existing slide lock. Leave it in the gun and skip this step.
Reinstall & Function Check — put the frame back together the normal way, then run a full function check before you load it.
Tuning Recommendations
Recoil spring weight decides whether this kit runs. If you get a dead trigger or an inconsistent reset, change the spring before you touch anything else.
Recommended Source — NDZ Performance: Glock recoil springs at or under $20, sorted by action length and weight. We send people to NDZ because they stock the full range and price it fairly.
Firearm Functionality
This product, when properly installed and left unmodified, is designed and intended solely for lawful semi-automatic operation. It is not capable of automatic fire, nor is it readily convertible to enable automatic or burst-fire operation. The Glock FRD Kit actively resets the trigger, producing one discharge per individual trigger pull, in full compliance with applicable federal firearm law. End users are responsible for understanding and complying with all state and local regulations applicable to their jurisdiction.
